ANTHBOT Robot Mowers: GroundCare Brand Guide
Last updated: September 2026 - GroundCare doesn't represent one individual manufacturer, so we start with the lawn rather than the product catalogue. This guide brings together manufacturer information, independent testing and owner feedback to explain where a brand sits in the robot mower market, what makes its technology different, and the types of property where it may — or may not — make sense. This is a brand overview, not a review of a particular model. Where GroundCare has hands-on experience with individual machines, installations or customer properties, those will appear separately alongside this guide.
The short version
ANTHBOT is one of the more aggressive value-focused entrants to the wire-free robot mower market. Its attraction is straightforward: it offers navigation technology such as RTK, multiple cameras and increasingly LiDAR/NetRTK combinations at prices substantially below many established premium brands. Its main question mark is less about mowing capability than about whether after-sales support and the broader ownership infrastructure can mature as quickly as the products have.
Where ANTHBOT sits in the market
ANTHBOT competes principally on technology per euro. Its current range spans conventional boundary-wire machines, camera/RTK systems and newer LiDAR-based products, allowing the brand to address both simple gardens and much more complicated wire-free installations.
Our own in-house independent testing of the Genie generation has generally found capable navigation and useful multi-zone functionality for the price. TechRadar found it reliable and user-friendly, while Tom’s Guide and Notebookcheck found more mixed results around RTK setup, firmware and obstacle behaviour.
What makes ANTHBOT different?
The notable feature is how rapidly relatively sophisticated navigation has moved down the price range. The current portfolio includes RTK plus dual vision, LiDAR plus vision, and combinations of LiDAR, RTK, NetRTK and vision that a few years ago would have been associated almost exclusively with much more expensive machines.
That makes ANTHBOT interesting where the objective is to solve a navigation problem without immediately moving into the €2,000–€4,000 end of the market.
Where we’d look particularly closely at ANTHBOT
ANTHBOT deserves consideration for ordinary residential properties where wire-free installation is desirable and price matters. The LiDAR products are particularly interesting for enclosed or visually complex gardens where relying entirely on satellite reception may be undesirable.
For larger, rougher or very steep Irish properties, however, navigation is only half the problem. Traction, wheel design, cutting width and the ability to keep operating in wet conditions may become more important than headline positioning technology.
What we’d want to check before specifying one
Support is the obvious consideration. Current owner feedback is sharply divided: many owners report very good value and satisfactory performance, while complaints repeatedly concern warranty handling, replacement parts and slow or inconsistent support.
That matters in Ireland because a robot mower is not simply an electronic purchase. If it is maintaining several thousand square metres during peak grass growth, the practical availability of parts and service can matter as much as the specification sheet.
GroundCare perspective
ANTHBOT is interesting precisely because it demonstrates how quickly capable wire-free technology is becoming affordable. We would look at it most closely where the lawn is relatively manageable but the customer wants modern navigation without premium-brand pricing.
We would put greater weight on support arrangements and terrain capability as the property becomes larger, rougher or more mission-critical.
